Update! The TTB has now removed the “temp” from the form name for the 5120.17 report and is now back to calling it what it was before. No more temp, it is just (once again) the 5120.17. Wineries will use the 5120.17 version of the form for their report filings for reports submitted for periods starting with 2018 and coming forward.
I was asked a good question this week from a contact at a local Napa County winery. Their question was do they still keep using the 5120.17temp version of the report form for their 2021 reports? Updated answer is No!
The TTB hasn’t shared a formal announcement about this as I write this, I discovered it today when using Pay.gov to file a 5120.17 report and the “temp” version was nowhere to be found.
So now wineries what is old is new again with your 5120.17 report.
