As of January 1, 2018 the changes put into place by the tax bill passed in December by congress are in effect according to the TTB’s website. So far the TTB has put together some initial information on what the changes will mean for US wineries specific to their record keeping and TTB reporting. (5120.17 & excise tax) I took a look at this summary to start making updates to the records and reports managed on behalf of clients. While I was at it I captured my next video in which I share some tips for wineries to get started on right now to stay ahead of the curve, plus take full advantage of the changes now available in their excise tax filings.
