The grape harvest of 2017 has officially kicked off here at several CA wineries from the posts I’ve seen in the press and on facebook.

As I shared in my last post I’ll be sharing several winery harvest compliance FAQ videos as the whirlwind that is harvest progresses.​ Up next in those videos is the first of a series on a key legal document specific to our world, the weighmaster certificate. (specific to all CA wineries)

The weighmaster certificate is the document required to be used by a business that holds a CA weighmaster license to document any load of grapes they weigh that are part of a sales transaction. (being bought/sold)

A weighmaster certificate is a specifically regulated document here in California. At a minimum it is required to list 13 fields. I share a sample template and other related details in the video.
